Finally arrived Kota Bharu, Kelantan at about 1700 hours; a slow and winded 3-hours drive from Kuala Terengganu.Earlier in the morning, the drive from Kerteh to Kuala Terengganu was an unusual 3-hours marathon; no thanks to overzealous local traffic policemen clearing the road for miles on end, pulling all motorised traffic off road and making everyone wait under blazing hot sun for a good 30-45 minutes, just to impress a bunch of overly-rated under-achieving adult cyclist on Misguided Policing 101, as they pass through unharmed! Wonder what the French did during their TourDeFrance, shutdown Paris???
Anyway, the Renaissance@KotaBharu is a truly welcome pitstop after that long, arduous and interrupted drive. AND, to her credit, Picca is still all smiles at the hotel seafood buffet dinner.
